What is in Customize?

Claude’s Customize area brings together plugins, skills, and connectors. A plugin bundles capabilities; a skill supplies a repeatable workflow; a connector grants access to another service. In the CLI, /plugin provides plugin management. Labels and installation surfaces vary.

Inspect before installing

1. Open Customize → Plugins, then Browse plugins in Claude.
2. Read the publisher, supported interface, and included capabilities.
3. Check connected services and what they may read or change.
4. Install one relevant plugin, then try a harmless example.
5. Use its actual listed skills or commands. Do not assume commands from another plugin exist.

Check the installed plugin’s management controls to disable or remove it. Review connected account access separately.

Example: Engineering

Engineering, made by Anthropic, is listed for engineering workflows including code review, standup summaries, architecture decisions, and incident documentation. The catalog identifies supported surfaces; check your installed version before relying on a workflow.

Using the Engineering plugin if available, draft a standup summary from the project information I provide. Separate completed work, blockers, and next actions. Cite the source for each claim. Do not post the summary or change the repository.

Example: Code Review

Code Review is listed as Anthropic verified. It reviews pull requests and can post findings to GitHub. That is an external action under your connected account, so use a practice PR and review the installed plugin’s behavior and permissions before invoking it.

The plugin and the built-in command can use similar names; inspect which one your session resolves. A verified publisher does not guarantee that every finding is correct. For a review without posting, use the guide’s plain-language review prompt.
